Custom hoodies for your college fest: a no-panic checklist

Every fest has that one week where the merch should have been ordered already and somehow it wasn't. If you're on the core team, this is for you.

We make custom merch for college societies, fests, farewells and weddings, so we see the same mistakes again and again. Here is the short version of what actually helps.

1. Lock the design before you lock the quantity

Get one final design that everyone on the team has seen. Front print, back print, sleeve if you want it. Changing the design after sizes are collected is where most of the chaos starts. You can try your logo on a hoodie or tee yourself on our free design page and share the preview in your group.

2. Collect sizes with a form, not a chat

A simple form with name, size and colour saves hours. Ask people to check a size chart first, because "M" means different things to different people.

3. Pick the right product for the vibe

Hoodies for winter fests and society drops, tees for big crowds and volunteer teams, caps and totes as add-ons. We wrote a full guide on custom hoodies for a college society and another on planning fest merch.

4. Don't forget the farewell

Farewell tees, polaroid prints of the batch and small scented candles make the kind of gift people actually keep. Some ideas here: farewell merch ideas.

5. Keep one point of contact

One person talks to the printer, one person collects money inside the team. That's it. Fewer cooks, fewer wrong sizes.
